On my first Blog, I want to discuss my most important topic, Ethics, or 'ETHX' as is on my license plate. Being in business, both in the corporate world and as a Realtor and consultant for the aviation industry, no subject is more important to me.

If one feels less than sure about the motives of a selling or buying client or a vendor such as a mortgage broker, title company escrow officer, inspector or appraiser, I need to move on.

Case in point, my very 'first client' was a lady who flew in from California. I picked her up at the airport and during a whirlwind tour of Salt Lake and Utah counties in which I drove 204 miles total in a day, I took her back to the airport. I called the airline to check on flight status and spoke to a good friend who worked there. She asked the passenger's name. 'No record,' so I asked a seat number.

Turns out my client gave me a false name 'because I don't trust anyone.'  There are incredible liabilities, whether insurance or fraud on a Real Estate Purchase Contract and I will not be a party to any of this.

Bottom line. My clients become very close friends. I value both the business relationship and the long term friendships. Trust is paramount.
